I finally round to getting website back up and running. Had some issues with moving broadband provider when they had the domain.

All sorted now.

As a distraction check out this link. This guy has been working on his three point game :)

After a 2 year breather Newry Basketball Club Senior Men made a return to the competitive game with a new look squad.

Newry faced their first test in the Belfast Summer Tournament with veteran players Paul Crawley and Nigel Murphy, returning from 2 years playing in Strabane, as well as a good mix of up and coming youth players including Alun Gorman.

Newry Senior Men to rise from the ashes

E-mail Print PDF

Newry's Senior Men's team are hoping to gather together a squad to compete in a tournament to be held in Queens on 1st and 2nd of May.

The returning Newry side hope to use both returning experienced players such as Paul Crawley, Nigel Murphy and Colly Mc Evoy and mix this with young talent from the U19 team such as Captain Nial Byrne, Ali Gorman and David Ruddy to see if this once competitive Newry team can shake off the two year break and represent their club and city once again.

The success of this venture back into Senior Ball is an attempt to boost the clubs hopeful return to the NI league in 2010/11.

Goodluck boys.
