This season has seen Newry promoted to the top Northern Ireland division.
The club received a surprise at the start of this season when fixtures were released. We had been promoted to Premier division, a big step from a 3rd place finish last year.
There was some obvious anxiety since the club has lost 9 of last years registered seniors, to a mixture of injury, college, family commitment and old age.
After a rallying call for players and much discussion we found that we were able to participate with a view to staying up in the Premiership and build the club up to winning strength.
Keep checking back for some detailed progress reports but so far things are looking good.
