Newry Flyers started the season on the road and the disappointing first defeat against Omagh seemed only to spur the boys and their dedicated coaches on to work harder. Matching both older and more established teams basket for basket these young stars developed as a team in front of the supporter’s very eyes.
With a record of 8 wins and only 4 losses the Newry Boys finished second in the league with 28 points falling below the top team by only 1 point. Also the team captain Aaron Miller has won the honour of being voted the first place NI All Star by all U13 teams.
The boys now face one final challenge this season and will play Lisburn on Sunday 5th April IN Omagh for the title of NI U13 Boys D2 champions.
